TRICK OR EAT
Saturday, October 31st
Trick or Eat is from 5pm to 8pm on October 31st. Our kickoff starts at 4:30pm at the Agora square in the Jock Turcot University Centre. Bring your costume, a comfortable backpack, a flashlight, your smile and some friends! Come have fun for a great cause! Lots of great prizes to be won!
One night a year households expect their dinner hour to be interrupted in order to distribute free edible items to all who ask. Trick or Eat puts a new spin on Halloween as costumed students canvass university neighbourhoods collecting food for local social service agencies. At the same time, students raise awareness about local hunger and volunteer opportunities that allow their neighbours to get involved in the solution. Three hours and a costume is all that is required to make a huge difference. And it's lots of fun too!
Last year University of Ottawa students raised $8,700 worth of food! Help us reach our goal of $10,000 this year!
