Calling all young professionals looking for dynamic volunteer opportunities! Meal Exchange's Change-Makers Program for Alumni and Young Professionals is waiting for you. As Meal Exchange continues to mature as an organization, we rely on the time, expertise and energy of our Change-Makers. As our eyes and ears in the private, public & civic sectors, they will help us by continuously assessing new opportunities for Meal Exchange to grow and increase its impact and together, we will reduce hunger in Canada.
• Program Overview
This program was developed in 2006 with the generous support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation to:
• ENGAGE young professionals (ages 24-35) and alumni in meaningful volunteer opportunities with Meal Exchange.
• NETWORK with other young professionals, community stakeholders and national supporters who are passionate about social change.
• Volunteer Opportunities: volunteering with Meal Exchange in a wide variety of roles including volunteer management consultant, fundraising consultant, researcher, graphic designer, database support and web developer.
The Change-Makers Challenge A challenge to be a community educator. Change-Makers are committed to increasing public awareness of hunger issues. They educate the public, share knowledge and advise student leaders. Change-Makers believe in the value of education in building a community.
A challenge to be a lifelong student. Change-Makers are committed to personal growth. They seek opportunities for personal and professional development. They strive to be educated citizens in areas such a food security, youth engagement and service-learning. Change-Makers endeavour to be the best people they can possibly be.
