Meal Exchange is a great organization to work with as it is full of dynamic, driven students and staff trying to raise awareness about hunger in our own communities. The use of students to drive this change is amazing.
I have been a Campus Coordinator for my entire four years at the University of Victoria. Over the years I have been amazed and motivated by the work of UVIC students coming together under Meal Exchange to help solve our hunger problem. The participation by residents and students in Victoria has more than doubled in the four years since UVIC started participating and manages to unite members of our community either through volunteering, donating, or receiving what we have raised.
