Click here for Trick or Eat 2009.
Only on one night a year do households expect their dinner hour to be interrupted in order to distribute free and edible items to all who ask. Trick or Eat puts a new spin on Halloween as costumed youth canvass their neighbourhoods collecting food for local social service agencies. At the same time, students raise awareness about local hunger and volunteer opportunities that allow their neighbours to get involved in addressing hunger.
Three hours and a costume is all that is required to make a huge difference in your community. As our most successful programme, Trick or Eat has…
- Involved over 22,800 students in 47 communities across the nation.
- Raised a total of $1,543,651.57 worth of food, which is equivalent to 617,460 meals!
